Youth Social Press
We are a South Africa-based Social Justice NGO using film and journalism to raise awareness around social issues facing youth in Africa and advocate for change. We aim to educate the public on and bring attention to issues affecting youths such as human rights, unemployment, and poverty. YSP also focuses on education and skills building in the media arts, with the aim of changing the landscape of the African Film Industry.
Upskilling the youth in Film and Media
Our team conducts interviews with leaders, business and government officials, media personalities, as well as the public on important social, political, economic and environmental issues.
Youth Social Press has a radio show hosted on Legon Cities Radio, in Accra, Ghana. The show is stimulates dialogue on issues such as gender based violence, health and wellness, relationships, among others.
Themed movies are shot by young people in our team with the help of skilled professionals. Young people are also involved in editing and production, as well as curation of the content on our social pages.
